Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2184 is to be kept in a 10 x 10 x 20 holding cell in Foundation Site ██. Three (3) layers of steel reinforced walls are to be surrounding the entirety of the chamber, approximately one (1) meter between each wall, and with soundproofing acoustic foam, laced with metallic fabric, thoroughly sealing inbetween these walls at all times. (See Addendum A-2) SCP-2184's anomalous abilities degrade the acoustic foam over time, this dependent on the direction of it's focus. For this reason, it must be sedated heavily while the foam is replaced every three (3) weeks. SCP-2184 is not, under any circumstances, allowed access to any location outside of it's chamber, and no personnel of any level may approve this. (See Addendum A-3) Any and all testing done on SCP-2184 is to be done while the specimen is sedated, and all personnel within the chamber are required to wear noise-cancelling headsets, in the event that the subject awakens during testing.

It's containment unit is allowed the following: A wooden desk with three drawers, a desk lamp with a 15-watt energy-saving bulb, a high-grade microphone (unattached to any recording software) and a leather desk chair. Any attempt by SCP-2184 to use the microphone should have no cause for alarm, and there is, as of present, no reasonable justification for removing the microphone from the containment unit.

A single security camera is kept in the top corner of the cell to watch SCP-2184 at all times, though audio is permanently disabled and under no authority should it be reactivated.

Description: SCP-2184 is a humanoid male, with a mixture of Korean and possibly German descent, in what is estimated to be it's early 20's. It is 1.78m tall and 64.9kg in weight. It's hair is black with a blonde streak, and t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶u̶r̶r̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶c̶o̶l̶o̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶e̶y̶e̶s̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶u̶n̶k̶n̶o̶w̶n̶.̶ it's eyes are dark green, with the sclera being a brighter, glowing green, as human eyes would appear on a night vision camera. It was recovered in ████████, Ohio,  in 1976 and is wearing the same clothes it was wearing when first recovered by the SCP Foundation.

The specimen wears a pink, makeshift blindfold over it's eyes, with it's own blood staining the fabric. Despite this, it seems to move and interact in it's environment just as well, and it is unconfirmed what other senses it is using to "see." (See Addendum-4) Any attempts to remove the blindfold during testing will be reprimanded severely, as any individual who makes eye contact with SCP-2184 while it's eyes are open with cause severe eye hemorrhages in both themselves and SCP-2184. (This is the confirmed cause for the blood on the blindfold) The reason for this is unknown and requires more extensive testing, though until a proper protection against hemorrhages for both personnel and the specimen are developed, this property will remain untouched.

SCP-2184 is a non-violent but deadly specimen. In the very early stages of it's containment, peaceful encounters were possible, but as it became aware of the fact that the facility did not intend to release it, it began to target any individual it could reach within the facility using it's anomalous properties. This property is it's voice, which it uses to lure in it's victims. It will first choose a "target" (From here-on labeled SCP-2184-A) and, through an as-of-yet unknown method, reach into the mind of SCP-2184-A and pull out both their favorite song and their most unsettling thoughts.

Using this information, SCP-2184 will use it's voice to "sing" to SCP-2184-A, distance and obstacles between them irrelevant. If SCP-2184 is successful in reaching the target, then SCP-2184-A will enter a state similar to a Stage 4 delta sleep. In this "trance" state they will immediately begin to approach SCP-2184's location, letting no obstacle impede them from reaching SCP-2184 except death. If the victim is successful in reaching SCP-2184, the specimen will use it's fingers to rip open a hole in SCP-2184-A's neck and proceed to eat their larynx (voice box) and vocal cords. If the victim does not reach SCP-2184 before it stops singing, they will immediately drop where they are and fall into a comatose state. As of present, no instance of SCP-2184-A has woken from this state. When they are attracting a selected victim, all other entities that hear the "song" will skip the "trance" state and immediately fall into the "coma" state.

It is theorized that, when digesting the larynx of SCP-2184-A, SCP-2184 gains that persons voice, and adds it to it's own, making it sound similar to an A Capella group rather than one person. As nobody who has listened to SCP-2184's voice during the "song" stage has lived/been awake to describe it, there is no confirming this theory. It is also possible that SCP-2184 has no audible voice at all when it sings, and it is merely a psychological effect. This is also unconfirmed.

Addendum A-1:  Doctor A███ was testing out the new SCP specimen's--SCP-2184's--powers today, █/██/76 to see the extent of what it could do. Results listed below.

Foreword: SCP-2184 had just been admitted to the facility and at the time The Foundation was unaware of the extent of it's anomalous properties, thus leading to an "Euclid" classification and a regular holding cell.

Doctor A███: Hello, my name is Doctor ██████ A███. Care to tell me your name?
SCP-2184: [Silence]
Doctor A███: Can you speak?
SCP-2184: [mutters something not caught by recorder]
Doctor A███: Mark? Okay, Mar-
SCP-2184: Dark.
Doctor A███: [pause] Dark. Dark, would you like to show me what you do?
SCP-2184: [silence]
Doctor A███: Dark, your presence here will be much simpler with a detailed description of what you d-
SCP-2184: Silence.
Doctor A███: What?
SCP-2184: I am showing you.
Doctor A███: [shuffling noises] Alright.
[There is a long silence]
SCP-2184: They have been chosen.

At this point in the interview, SCP-2184 began to sing, and Doctor A███ along with the Level 2 Security Agent monitoring the camera both fell into a comatose state. About 50 minutes later, SCP-2184 abruptly stopped singing. At approximately the same time, security personnel guarding the facility had shot and killed ██████ █████████, a 9 year old female who had somehow found her way to the facility without the use of any vehicle. Later review of the footage, with the audio cut, by a mouth-reading specialist revealed the following lyrics, repeated over and over for the 50 minutes, though confirmation was shaky, as cameras at the time couldn't provide the most concrete and clear footage.

"The weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
When you've got no place else to go,
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow,
When you hear your Mommy crying,
Plagued by memories of Daddy dying,
Was your fault he left, you know,
Let him go, let him go, let him go."

Within three days of this incident, SCP-2184 lured 12 people to their deaths at facility borders.

Closing Statement: "This specimen is much more dangerous than any of us had predicted. We've lost a good doctor last week, and people are dying left and right at our own walls. I don't intend to let the same thing happen. Requesting SCP-2184 be re-classified as Keter." -Dr. ███████

Addendum A-2: Request granted, SCP-2184 being re-classified as Keter. Containment Specialists revising and constructing SCP-2184's containment unit. Extensive planning includes high grade acoustic foam, with metallic fabric laced on both sides. Success chance in containing SCP-2184's anomalous properties unknown. Will move SCP-2184 into specialized containment unit ASAP.

Addendum A-3: "SCP-2184 was let out of his containment unit for the first time today. [DATA EXPUNGED] put duct tape over it's mouth so it couldn't sing, primal bastard he is doesn't know how to use a proper mouthgag, and brought it out and about. There wasn't anyone else in the wing at the time besides him, so when he kind of dropped, he was the only one. They had to rush in MTF to retrieve the specimen, and they found it trying to get into SCP-███'s unit. They brought him back to his unit, and I'm highly suggesting we don't let it out at all, no matter what precautions are taken." - Dr.██████

Note: Lip-reading review of the footage from Hallway Security Camera 533:

"He's like...dude, I think he's humming. I don't know,  I can't really hear too wel-Wait. wait wait wait. Yeah, he's humming. He's-"

Immediately after this, [DATA EXPUNGED] fell into a coma induced state.


Addendum A-4: "Theory in the works for SCP-2184's method of "seeing" things. Is it possible the thing's using ultrasonic sound, like a bat, to see things? All the anomalous properties in it's voice, it'd at least be something to consider. Whoever's keeping an eye on the camera, keep an eye out for an open mouth, or a "yawning" sort of motion." -Dr. █████

Addendum A-5: "We got a new doctor in from a Research Facility in [DATA REDACTED] today. Goes by Dr. W█████. Second he stepped foot in the facility, SCP-2184 went ballistic. It started screaming in it's cell, thrashing around, gotta make sure to have the footage analyzed by the lip reader. It was freaking out, and after I informed MTF, they escorted W█████ out of the building, and it just calmed down again and started talking into it's microphone. Like nothing ever happened. I was afraid he'd start trying to beat down the doors." - Security Personnel █████, watching security cameras at the time of incident.

Note(1): The acoustic foam lining SCP-2184's cell was severely degraded after the incident, at a 680% higher deterioration rate than usual. A team of researchers was sent in to sedate SCP-2184 immediately in order to replace the foam. It has  been unanimously decided among O5 council that SCP-2184 and Dr.W█████ are never placed in the same Research Facility.
